Need a hand with Tithi? Most questions are answered below. If you can’t find what you’re looking for, email us — we’re a small team and we read every message.

Delete your account and data
You can permanently delete your Tithi account from inside the app:
- Open Tithi.
- Go to Settings → Account.
- Choose Delete account permanently and confirm.
Account deletion removes your Tithi account and associated app data, including synced calendars, events, reminders, and account profile data Tithi received when you signed in with Google or Apple. For Google sign-in, this includes Google user data associated with your Tithi account, such as your name, email address, and unique Google account identifier that Tithi uses for authentication.
If you no longer have access to the app, you can still request deletion by emailing us at support@shiachi.co. Please include the email address you used to sign in to Tithi so we can locate the account.
We delete or anonymize account data within a reasonable period after your request, except where we need to retain limited information for legal, security, fraud-prevention, or regulatory reasons. See our Privacy Policy for more details.
Frequently asked questions
- I can’t sign in. What should I do?

Tithi uses Google or Apple to sign in. Make sure you’re connected to the internet and try again. If it still fails, update to the latest version of the app, restart it, and confirm you’re using the same Google or Apple account you signed up with. If the problem continues, email us with your device and OS version.
- My events or calendars aren’t syncing across devices.

Your calendars and events sync when you’re signed in to the same account and connected to the internet. Open the app on each device, confirm you’re signed in with the same Google or Apple account, and give it a moment to sync. You can view and add events offline — changes sync automatically when you reconnect.
- My tithi, sunrise, or sunset times look wrong.

These are calculated for your location. Allow location permission in your device settings so Tithi can use where you are. If you decline, Tithi uses a default reference location (Ujjain), which may differ from your local times. Note that tithi calculations can also vary slightly by tradition and method.
- I’m not getting notifications or reminders.

Enable notifications for Tithi in your device settings, and make sure reminders are turned on for the events you care about. On some phones, battery-saver or “deep sleep” settings can delay notifications — allow Tithi to run in the background for reliable delivery.
- How do I create an event that repeats on a tithi?

Add an event and set it to repeat — choose every month, every year, or on a tithi such as Ekadashi or Navami. Tithi can send a reminder before each occurrence.
- How do I change the language?

Open Settings in the app and choose English, Hindi (हिन्दी), Gujarati (ગુજરાતી), or Marathi (मराठी). You can switch any time.
- How do I delete my account or my data?

Open Tithi and go to Settings → Account → Delete account permanently. This deletes your Tithi account and associated app data, including synced calendars, events, reminders, and Google or Apple sign-in profile data received by Tithi, except where retention is required for legal, security, fraud-prevention, or regulatory reasons.
